2006: We worked with Southwest Airlines to launch the first corporate blog in the airline industry.
The first launch of Southwest Airlines' blog gave Customers another peek into operations, daily work life, and people. The first launch of "Nuts About Southwest" highlighted design that embodied the Southwest Airlines spirit of fun, friendliness, warmth, and efficiency. The blog immediately received acclamation and positive reviews. It has won multiple PR awards, including the PR News Platinum PR Award for Best Corporate Blog in 2007, and continues to be regarded prominently as one of the best corporate blogs today.
2008: We launched Nuts 2.0
In the latest release of Nuts About Southwest, RD2 enhanced the site's functionality to incorporate a Video Blog, a Media Center, Podcasts, and much more. With the foundation of two years of engaging content around the Southwest culture, for this release RD2 focused on context and functionality, utilizing the open source Drupal platform, and social media applications like Flickr and YouTube. After this launch, Nuts About Southwest was again named the best corporate blog by PR News in the Platinum PR Awards for 2008.
